Packing for Freycinet
Tasmanian weather changes quickly. Pack a windproof and waterproof jacket, even in summer. Wear sturdy hiking boots or walking shoes, especially if you plan to walk down to Wineglass Bay Beach, as the track is steep.
Bring sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and binoculars for spotting seals and sea eagles. If you are taking the 4.5-hour boat tour, consider motion sickness medication, as the ocean swells can be rough. Learn more in our guide on Packing Guide.

Planning questions
Where do I park?
Free parking is available near the Coles Bay Jetty for cruise guests. For walkers, park at the National Park walking tracks car park, which fills up quickly in peak season.
Is there drinking water on the trails?
No. You must carry in all your drinking water. There are limited water sources in the park, and tank water at campsites is not reliable.
Can I fly a drone?
No. Drones are strictly prohibited from use within all Tasmanian national parks. Leave them at home.
